MOACON 2026 – The Magnificent provides a great opportunity to show case the scientific work done by the members of the Maharashtra Orthopaedic society. The scientific work will be accepted by MOACON scientific committee under the following categories.

Abstract Submission- General instructions for E-Poster & Free Paper

E- POSTERS

• Registration for Conference is MANDATORY for Abstract Submission
• The LAST DATE for E-poster submission is 15th November 2025
• Kindly submit the COMPLETE manuscript/poster
• DO NOT mention/reveal the identity while submitting the abstract. However, the same should be mentioned in the email
• The scientific committee holds the right for qualifying and disqualifying the E-poster
• ONLY The presenter shall get the certificate
• The scientific committee shall select the best abstract and shall notify the presenter regarding the same
• The E-poster should be less than 300 words
• Recommended Font Size: 28pt or larger
• E-Posters are to be made in PPT Format (Total of 3 to 7 slides) in 16:9 ratio
• Videos, animations graphs and images can be embedded into your poster.
• Layout needs to in the landscape orientation
• The E-poster should be under following headings
  • Title
  • Background
  • Methods/ Case Report
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

Best Paper/ Gold Paper

The author has to submit the entire manuscript for the gold medal session which is part of Free Paper and will be reviewed by the reviewer and then categorized as Best paper/ Gold Paper

Free Paper Podium Presentation

Scientific research that you have conducted can be presented as Free Papers. If the paper is selected, then you will get an opportunity to make a podium presentation of your work at for MOACON26, The Magnificient

The reviewers of the Free Papers score the papers based on various criteria. If your paper is amongst the 6 best papers scored by the reviewers, your paper will be automatically selected for competing in the Best Paper session.

Once selected for Best Paper Session, you are required to submit full paper along with Master Chart within 1 week. Not submitting Full Paper & Master chart within stipulated time will result in disqualification of the paper from Best Paper Session.

RULES:

• Registration for Conference is MANDATORY for Abstract Submission
• The LAST DATE for Abstract submission is 15th November 2025
• DO submit the WHOLE manuscript/paper
• DO NOT mention/reveal the identity while submitting the abstract. (Any abstract revealing the authors/ institute will face disqualification from the review process)
• The scientific committee holds the right for qualifying and disqualifying the paper
• ONLY The presenter shall get the certificate
• The scientific committee shall select the best abstract and shall notify the presenter regarding the same
• The abstract should be less than 350 words
• The abstract should be submitted in WORD DOCUMENT FORMAT ONLY. No other formats (specially PDF) would be considered for submission
• The abstract should be under following headings

  • Introduction
  • Aim/Background
  • Methodology & Material
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Interesting Case / Innovative Idea Podium Presentation:

An interesting case / series of cases, either because it is an unusual presentation or an unexpected outcome or innovatively treated, is ideal for presentation during this session. If selected, you will get a podium presentation to highlight your case. The Best Presentations will be selected for the BEST CASE Session at MOACON26, the Magnificent

Video Podium Presentation

At MOACON26, the Magnificent, we will be running an OPEN Theatre where videos made by delegates will be presented by the delegates. The videos must highlight routine or innovative procedures, newer technique or even examination of a patient. The videos will be reviewed by our reviewers. The 4 best videos will be selected for presentation in the Best Video Competition at MOACON26, the Magnificent.
The rest of the selected videos will get a presentation during the open theatre session.

RULES:

• Video & Abstract submission deadline is 15thNovember 2026
• Both a Written Abstract and a Video must be submitted for evaluation.
• Written Abstract must explain what the Video is aiming to demonstrate (150 words).
• Manufacturer’s demo, videos are not allowed and will mean automatic disqualification.
• DO NOT mention/reveal the identity while submitting the video. Any video revealing the authors/ institute will face disqualification from the review process.

Technical Specifications for the Video File are as follows:

• File format: .mp4
• Duration: Maximum 6 minutes
• The 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio is preferred. Please edit in the native format of your camera
• If you can, 4:3 is acceptable. However, please do not “stretch” your video.
• The maximum video size allowed as an abstract is 5 MB
• Patient Privacy: Identifying information, including patients' names, initials, or hospital numbers, must not appear. Written consent must be obtained from each person appearing in the work.

Young Surgeon’s Forum:

MOA has been conducting Young Surgeon’s Forum for last few years. Now, we are pleased to give opportunity for MOA Members, who are Young (<45 Years or born before 31st March 1981) to present their work in the Prestigious MOACON26, The Magnificent.

RULES:

• Only Full Papers will be considered for the award
• Submit Full Paper in English in plain text format
• The Full Paper should be structured as Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results and Conclusions
• It should include 5 keywords.
• Forum submission deadline is 15th November 2025

DO NOT mention/reveal the author or institute identity while submitting the manuscript. Any attempt at revealing the authors/ institute will face disqualification from the review process

Veteran Surgeon’s Forum

MOA has been conducting Veteran Surgeon’s Forum for last few years. Now, we are pleased to give opportunity for Veteran MOA Members to present their work in the Prestigious MOACON26, the Magnificent.

RULES:

• Only Full Papers will be considered for the award
• Submit Full Paper in English in plain text format
• The Full Paper should be structured as Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results and Conclusions.
• It should include 5 keywords.
• Forum submission deadline is 15th November 2025
• Submission of forum is online only. Details of submission process in General Guidelines

Important Notes

• The abstract submission process for all the categories is common
• All single case reports will be included in poster category only.
• Following the congress, a Book of Abstracts will be published Online, bearing an official ISBN number
• All presenters will get a certificate of presentation from MOACON 2026 – The Magnificent!
